Esprit 120 First Light Test Image

Here is the first light test image from my new Esprit 120. The initial unit had some optical issues and SkyWatcher has sent me a replacement. This is the first test image off the new scope and I'm impressed at the quality of the stellar images right to the corners.

The image is a very short 12 minute exposure taken with a crescent Moon in the sky from an urban setting.

Processing This image was processed entirely in Images Plus. No calibration frames were used, stacking, statistical filter applied to reduce noise before stretching. Masked stretching and split star processing used to enhance the image. Masked noise reduction using a frequency domain lowpass filter applied to the DSO layer and then it was recombined with the star layer. Image binned 2 by 2. Final sharpening applied.
