NGC 7822 with Canon 60Da

Here is an image of NGC 7822 and CED 214 taken from a dark sky site. The objects are fairly low surface brightness emission reagions combined with a small open cluster to the center right. This image is the first real test of a new Canon 60Da from a dark site.

Processing Calibration, stacking, DDP, initial sharpening, star reduction Images Plus . Masked noise reduction applied in Images Plus beta 5. Contrast enhancement in Paint Shop Pro. Blue channel dimmed in center using a control point mask in Images plus beta 5. Image binned then resized for web display. Final sharpening done with a highpass filter in Paint Shop Pro using a masked layer.
